Winter Bird Feeder

We are in the thick of Winter here in Colorado!
Burrrrrrrrrrrr.....
We had a huge winter storm totalling 25 inches of snow in my backyard!
Here's a glimpse...

After reading The Big Snow by Berta and Elmer Hader with my girls we decided the birds and critters may like a mid-winter's snack.
We had fun rolling a couple of pine cones covered with peanut butter in some yummy bird-seeds.

We attached twine to each home-made bird feeder and hung it from our backyard tree.
Do you have fun ways to interact with nature during the cold winter months?

Hope you all are keeping warm this winter!
We are sure trying too!!

D's Raw Banana Pudding

A little Raw Goodness...

So my eldest daughter was our initial inspiration for a little more raw eating and a lot less sugar.
She had many belly aches and turned out refined sugar was the culprit.
What a blessing it has been for our family to find inventive ways to enjoy whole foods even when a sweet tooth strikes.

I'm delighted to share D's very own raw recipe!

D's Raw Banana Pudding:

One Banana
Cinnamon to liking
A splash of Vanilla

Mush Banana, then stir in remaining ingredients.

Enjoy!

Oh, and if you have an extra sweet tooth on a particular day, add a teaspoon of raw honey to the mix!

Do you have a raw/ natural sweet treat you like?
Please share, we'd love to hear!

Jaime
